Minster is a village in Auglaize County, Ohio with a population of 2,805. The area is home to the world’s largest yogurt plant that is owned and operated by Dannon. The village was founded in 1832, and went by the name of Stallostown after its founder Francis Stallo. However, three years after Stallo’s death in 1836, an influx of German settlers came to the area, and the village’s name was changed to Minster after Münster in Westphalia, Germany.
